Strengthening supply chains and seizing Europe's opportunity is the motto of this sourcing event. The CEE Procurement & Supply Forum will take place on September 29 and 30, 2025 in Krakow, Poland. Register now and secure a 20% early bird discount for all bookings made by 20th of June.
The central sourcing event for purchasing and supply chain development in Europe, organized by BME, brings together German buyers with selected suppliers from 18 Central and Eastern European countries - from the Baltic States to Bulgaria. "Together with our partners, we want to continue to support our community in Krakow in gaining more transparency in Europe's procurement markets and integrating new suppliers into their chains," says Olaf Holzgrefe, Head of International at BME.
Focus on production materials
The CEE Forum offers targeted B2B matchmaking sessions in which companies can hold partnership-based discussions on specific procurement requirements. The focus is on production materials such as castings, welded assemblies, metal and plastic parts as well as electronic components - and thus central building blocks of industrial value chains. Pre-selection by the purchasing department plays a decisive role in the run-up to the event. This is because only suppliers who meet the key parameters of the purchasing department are invited to the meetings.
Working together to ensure diversification and competitiveness
The event is not only aimed at initiating business, but also actively supports the strategic expansion and diversification of supply chains. Many German companies are under pressure to rethink their sourcing strategies considering geopolitical tensions, strained supply chains and rising costs. Central and Eastern Europe offers an attractive alternative to Asian markets with competitive, flexible suppliers.
With the CEE Forum, BME is also emphasizing the importance of a strong European economic area. Risk management and resilience are becoming decisive criteria for modern procurement strategies. The proximity to the markets, stable legal framework conditions and growing technological demands make Eastern Europe a strategic partner for German industrial companies.
In times of high energy costs, increasing regulatory requirements and global upheaval, the competitiveness of the German economy is closely linked to the efficiency and security of its supply chains. The CEE Procurement & Supply Forum makes a concrete contribution to this by helping companies to forge new partnerships, spread risks and secure sustainable value creation. "Since the first edition in 2015, more than 2,000 B2B meetings have been organized as part of the CEE Forums. This shows how important the forum has become for the European industry," says Holzgrefe.
