The 4th Purchasing Initiative Maghreb organised by the BME on behalf of the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) offers buyers from German companies the opportunity to meet qualified suppliers from Tunisia, Algeria and Morocco.
North Africa is becoming a focus for buyers from German companies: Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia combine location advantages such as proximity to Europe, competitive production costs and a young, qualified workforce with a clear export orientation. This opens up new opportunities for German companies to make their supply chains broader, more stable and more sustainable.
This is precisely where the free 4th Purchasing Initiative Maghreb – Forum & B2B Matchmaking comes in, which will take place from 10 to 13 November 2025 in Frankfurt, Düsseldorf and Berlin. The German Association for Supply Chain Management, Procurement and Logistics (BME), together with the Chambers of Commerce Abroad of the three countries, the German-African Business Association and regional Chambers of Industry and Commerce, is bringing over 50 pre-qualified suppliers to Germany – directly to the buyers on site.
The programme combines concise market information and practical reports with individually arranged B2B meetings. The initiative focuses on sectors such as metalworking, plastics and electronics, information and communication technology (ICT) and engineering, as well as specialised industrial services. The event concludes with participation in the renowned 60th Purchasing and Logistics Symposium in Berlin, where the "Maghreb Discovery Zone" will provide additional contacts and insights.
The majority of suppliers from Tunisia, Morocco and Algeria are export-oriented SMEs, many with ISO certifications that guarantee reliability and international standards. They offer German buyers a rare combination of flexibility, innovative strength and cost advantages.
Companies wishing to diversify their procurement strategy and establish new, sustainable partnerships can register now on the BME Matchmaking Platform.
