Feasibility, mold concept, resin behavior, dimensional acceptance, gear performance, and validation depend on approved gear data, material specifications, mating components, molding conditions, and buyer requirements.
Typical project scope:
• DFM review covering tooth geometry, hub, bore, spokes, ribs, wall thickness, parting line, draft, gate, venting, cooling, and ejection
• Mold design and tool build based on approved 2D/3D data and requested component standards
• Review of resin shrinkage, glass-fiber or other filler effects, weld-line risk, warpage, and tool-wear considerations
• Gate, cooling, cavity, and ejection concept based on gear geometry, material, quantity, and available injection-machine data
• Machining, fitting, assembly, and T1/T2/T3 trials
• Dimensional inspection, trial samples, reports, and agreed correction loops

• Gear type, module or diametral pitch, tooth count, pressure angle, helix angle, face width, and profile shift where applicable
• Resin grade, fillers/additives, color, conditioning, and lubrication requirements
• Bore, hub, shaft, insert, bearing, and mating-gear interfaces
• Tooth-profile, runout, concentricity, backlash, noise, torque, wear, and inspection criteria
• Annual volume, target mold life, cavity requirement, and target cycle time
• Injection-machine data, validation plan, delivery destination, and Incoterm
